<p>Jane had driven from her farm, Raven Springs, all the way to Forewood on the spirit of a measly hope that she could find the right bit. Her current trainer, who she cared little to think of now, was out running around somewhere in Kentucky. Jane's knuckles were white from holding the steering wheel so harshly. She almost wanted out of this, it had gotten so bad. If that man at the auction hadn't been there, then Jane would have never of bought the filly in the first place. My Suggestion was sour and had a very tough mouth. Not to mention, a strong neck. The bit the filly had had on when startled, was not enough to stop her from freaking out with a strong rider on her back. After getting her bridle caught on a metal post, My Suggestion tore the headstall right off. The filly experienced the trauma without receiving any cuts or unseen damages. And Jane thanked God for that. The filly had proven difficult to stop in the past: it could have been even worse than it already was. My Suggestion was not to blame entirely, not this time. But the situation only enforced Jane's decision to look for better options.</p>

<p>'She'll earn her keep,' Jane thought, 'But I won't force her to, because she'll do it herself.' She drove on past the barns and up to the tack shop that Forewood somehow thought of having. Why she kept coming back to places like this, Jane hardly knew. Granted, jumping and dressage had just as much discipline as racing, and a bit was a bit. This Charlie Forewood was a man who knew his work well, that's what people said. If she had thrown open that car door any harder while getting out, it might have come back to hit her in the face. Somehow, Jane stood up straight and did not stomp away with her shoulders slumped. But her muscles were rigged with anger. Clearly, things had not gone her way. Jane Bailey never lost control of anything, because everything always went her way.</p>

<p>Jane was already thinking childish thoughts, she was angry enough. 'She's trying to drive me until I'm broke and mad.' Jane fumed all the way up to the front door of the tack shop. It wasn't even what My Suggestion had done that day that really tore at Jane's patience. It was that she had never really wanted the animal in the first place. The very same man who had exposed her father's crimes to the world strode right in and tried beating her in a bidding for a daughter of the North American sire, Tapit. Jane thought the filly was of good pedigree, but she never would have bought her for so much. She couldn't afford that kind of living. Jane open the door with more careful control this time, exhaled, and then she stepped inside, welcomed by the soothing bold smells of leather. After walking toward the center of the store, she stopped and looked around. She needed a very strong bit.</p>

She is completely honest, but also trusting as a friend. For her, wealth is never valued over principle, and professionalism comes before fun. Jane was born in Kansas, a year after her father was banned from Thoroughbred racing for fixing races. She grew up on his horse farm where she learned to ride.<br><br>Although, Jane managed to convince her father to teach her about racing and even owned some of the horses he raised, she eventually broke off their partnership and moved to Lexington, Kentucky. She now owns a small private horse farm in the country and has begun making a name for herself, but is constantly followed by her father's terrible shadow.
<br><br>
<div style="font-family: 'Tangerine', cursive; font-weight: 400; font-size: 24px; color: #FFFFFF; text-align: center;">Friends</div>

Jane makes a rather convenient business partner, and never goes back on her word: she always gets the job done. Although she makes little time for friends, those Jane already has or ever will, can count on her to be there. But Jane will not back down when competing with anyone she knows. It's nothing personal, it's just business.
<br><br>
<div style="font-family: 'Tangerine', cursive; font-weight: 400; font-size: 24px; color: #FFFFFF; text-align: center;">Enemies</div>

Jane hardly considers a person an enemy. But she dislikes several people in general. It is important to always make a good first impression if you want to stay on her good side. Jane may forgive others of their mistakes and misjudgments, even after a long period of time, but she never forgets what offended her in the beginning.
<br><br>
<div style="font-family: 'Tangerine', cursive; font-weight: 400; font-size: 24px; color: #FFFFFF; text-align: center;">Lovers</div>

One of Jane's ultimate weaknesses is a good looking man and an endearing smile. But do not mistake her for a helpless romantic. Either her behavior has drawn off a lot of men, or simply brought them closer, Jane generally has most of her fun while on a date or with someone she can connect with.

Captain Symbolism causes trouble everywhere he goes. When being saddled, he will make it a challenge and has a habit of stepping on everyone's feet in the process, including anywhere else he might be. However, Captain Symbolic is a charging athlete. When ridden, he is both reliable and powerful. He can go a long way, but it takes distance to build up speed. Overall, Captain Symbolism requires patience from his caretakers, because if you push at him, he'll be sure to push back.

My Suggestion has a bit of a temper, so she's not much of a play horse. Being as young as she is, there are a few things My Suggestion can't seem to get down. She tends to give the farrier a hard time and likes to nip at passing people. She also has a hard mouth, and requires a firm hand. Around other horses, My Suggestion behaves herself well enough. She even loves baths and loads very nicely in a trailer. While around crowds, My Suggestion takes it all in stride, being an intelligent and observant creature.

Sable Gown is a fairly sweet tempered giant and awfully playful. But he's easily stressed and has a bad history of cribbing. He hates being left alone; isolation pressures him. As an athlete he is somewhat lazy but has the heart. He's definitely a people pleaser though and will give his all, including the last drop. Every response is immediate and very well behaved. Ultimately, Sable Gown is well trained but has some issues running on mud and will do anything to avoid water unless it's in his bucket.
